Privacy statement. Processing of personal data in the context of a visa application

As of 10.12.2018:

All Palestinian nationals, whether they hold a Palestinian passport or a refugee travel document issued by another country, are obliged to have a transit visa (A visa), when flying via a Schengen airport to a non-Schengen country.
Fingerprints are as well required for all long stay visa demands (national D visa) implying a personal submission of the visa request.

Long stay:

Family Reunification with a Belgian.
Family Reunification with non/Belgian residing in Belgium.

ATTENTION:

Family members of EU citizens covered by Directive 2004/38/EC and of Swiss citizens are allowed to submit their visa application directly to the Embassy. In order to do so they should make an appointment by e-mail on the following e-mail address: riyadh.visa@diplobel.fed.be
For visa long stay (visa D), the applications from Oman must be introduced with the Belgian consulate in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). For more information on visa D: https://diplomatie.belgium.be/en/travel-belgium/visa-belgium
Please be informed that, the VFS offices in Riyadh, Jeddah and Alkhobar receives visa long stay (visa D) – applications.

Application Submission	Sunday to Thursday, 09:00 to 15:00
Passport Collection	Sunday to Thursday, 09:00 to 17:00

Please note that applicants:

Will have to book an appointment through VFS instead of coming to the Embassy
Will have to submit their visa application at the Belgian Visa Application Desk at the Joint Visa Application Center (addresses mentioned here above) and not at the Embassy
In some cases will need to present themselves for an interview at the Embassy after submitting their applications at the Belgian Visa Application Desk. The appointment of the interview is organized by VFS.
